I have several DIVX files that I'm trying to encode to .m2v and .wav elementary files but when I import my .avi file I only get a file for the video and nothing for the audio. Is there something I'm doing wrong? What is the best way to do this using TMPGEnc Pro? I read the "How to" section but it doesn't seem to work that way.

    Thanks,

The best way to get a wav file is to load your avi into Goldwave and then select save. (Didn't you mention Goldwave in a different thread?) Make sure you have the audio codec, test your file with Gspot.

Try VirtualDub, load the file in and frameserve it to TMPGEnc.

The guides section has a couple of guides on how to do this.

Zippy, yes I use Goldwave. This worked, thanks. I was just puzzled as to why the audio file just didn't show up automatically in TMPGEnc like other .avi files. I think I saw in another thread that if the DIVX file uses AC3 audio then TMPGEnc cannot recognize it...this must have been the case.
