I have been using DVDSHRINK 3.0 to rip and compress. I tried to use DVDDecrypter to burn, but I would not continue to write after the leadin part. So I decided to use IMGTools to create an image file to burn with Roxio 6. This works great but IMGTools is soooo Slow. It takes about 45min to make the file. I have a P4 2.4 with 512mb. When I look under the tab that tells how the system resources are being used, IMGTools only uses 1-3% while system idle is 97-99%. I think if it would use 50% or more of the processor it would finish in a few minutes. Any suggestions?

Most likely your harddisk is the bottleneck. Check if DMA is active for it. If you have more than one harddisk they should be on separate IDE channels and you read the files from say C: and write the image to say D: which is your second harddisk (and preferrably on the second channel). All the read and write activities are verrrrrrry slow if you do it with only one harddisk and when it's almost full or very fragmented.

Your going from C drive to C drive. When I go from C to D it takes maybe 4 minutes. When I go from C to C it takes 30. Welcome to an I/O bottleneck.......
