  1. Hi all,

Never posted here, but have been reading for years. YAY!

I just got a cap card, the MSI GEFORCEFX5600 VTRD128.

Anyways, have been starting to figure it out, and I keep running into a snag with a crash.

    Here is the scenerio:

    Start VirtuaDub
set cap settings from SVIDEO Hi8 Cam
    and it caps just fine.

Also, same scenerio in VirtualVCD... (xcept audio out of sync, any help here?)

    but still caps ok.

then, if I cap a bunch of clips, after about 20 mins of capping a few here and there, I press the "Stop button" or any settings/program button, I am greeted ever so rudely by the BSOD with an IRQL problem... the BSOD msg refers to a problem with the NV4_MINI.SYS file..

I am using latest drivers of the WDM (2.13) & Detonators (52.16)

Any ideas what is causing this? I've googled nv4_mini and there is very few hits.

this happens with PICVideo and Huffy compressions; various resolutions; Virtualdub 1.3 and 1.5; VirtualVCR 2.6.9

    WinXP Pro
    Epox 8k3a
    512 Ram
    Athlon XP 2400+
120 Gigs of total HD space, 80+40/7200 Western Digital

Since you mention IRQ, you might power down, pull out your card and reinsert it. Usually the BIOS automatically assigns IRQ's. Before you try that, check the IRQ settings for the card in the control panel>hardware. If you just changed video cards, the system may have not updated. Also, you can boot to the BIOS screen and check the settings there. This is just a guess. Next thing to check would be a faulty memory module.
