Hi,
I'm about to backup my files to a DVD-R (so this DVD is just full of mp3s and documents), and on the Nero 6 burning window (near the "Write speed" and "Write Method" options), there's this option checkbox titled "Book Type DVD-ROM."
So what is Book Type DVD-ROM? If I were to backup documents off PCs (non movie related), is it better to leave it unchecked or checked?
I've search for this term in this forum and on google, but instead of getting answers, I become more confused cause it seems like it's one of those lingos that people who are in the DVD scene should know by general concensus.
Thanks in advance.

I've found it's easiest, when using my Nero 6, to use the Start Smart wizard. Choose DVD, then choose data dvd. I leave the settings the way Nero sets them. Haven't had a problem yet with making a data disc this way. I've never noticed the *Book Type* thing myself, so I have no ideer what it is.
