  1. Ok I just bought the movie and I cant turn the subtitles off. I tried through their menu which says that they are turned off and then I turn them off on the DVD player itself, but they still show up, any ideas of what I could do. Im am about ready to pitch it out the window. I have the APEX AD 660 player.never had a problem with it before.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

  2. This may be a stupid question but this is the only thing I can think of right now - Are you sure that it's the subtitle and not the closed caption?
Sorry if I can't help enough.

  6. my tv is older an it doesn't support subtitles or colsed captioning,no computer in it, and the apex usually turns off the subtitles when I tell it to. The movie has a menu about closed captioning and it says English or None. I choose none and hit play and they still show. I press english and the same thing happens to it. It must be some sort of conflict with the DVD and the player

I had the same problem with my Apex AD-600A - go here for more info - http://www.dvd-wizards.com/darrenk/A600/A600.htm - you may be lucky and be able to upgrade a patch with CDR.

Warning though - If you are not confident with opening electonic equipment DON'T DO IT - go and see someone who is qualiied. You may destroy your player or even kill yourself.
