pioneer burning problem just at the end of my backups

I have a Pioneer A06 and when i burn at 4x on my generic media my backups play fine until i get to the last 20-30 mins of my dvd and the movie starts to skip. when i burn at 2x this problem goes away. the movie will even come to a halt sometimes.

i'm using DVDDecrypter to burn

I've tried using name brand media from best buy but it didn't help (but it didn't skip as much). i've also tired it out on a different dvd player and the problem still happens.

this is a new drives just got it a month ago

Has anyone had problems like this?

Invariably it's bad media. That or burning 2x Media at 4x.

have you ever got media that said was 4x but couldn't burn at 4x?

There's 4x media you can only burn at 1x, and then only to 3.5 GB

Try some real RITEK G04's.

i mean wheres a good (cheap) place to buy it?

There are many places, and they are all rated by users. Merritline is okay, as is Newegg.com
