Hello all;
I am new to the DVD ripping world and already on my first attempt I am getting an error message from SmartRipper 2.41. After the authentication is successfull, I choose the "File Mode" and after I click "Start" I get this message "No Key Found" after which it asks me if I want to quit ripping? Anyone knows what this is all about? Thanks

Rarely there will be a movie that does not need a key. Do not rely solely on SmartRipper, also process the same DVD through CladDVD.net and DVDDecryptor. Sometimes one of the ripper will not handle it correctly.

I have found movies that are not protected, ( no key found).
Smart Ripper is excellent and has not let me down!.

three suggestions:
- play a little bit of the disc in a software player like PowerDVD before attempting to rip.
- try ripping with another application instead of SmartRipper.
- try ripping from a different drive.
I've had certain discs where DVD Decrypter wouldn't rip them and SmartRipper would, and vice versa. I've also had one disc (Akira Kurosawa's "Ran") that wouldn't let me rip one file with either Decrypter or SmartRipper if I used my dvd-rom drive, but when I put it in my burner drive, it ripped that file with no problem.- housepig
