I have been using Win ME for my operating system to make VCD'S I use Smart ripper, DVDTOAVI and TMPGE 12.i OR 2.0, If I upgrade to Windows XP will it affect what i am doing?

Nothing is without risk. Personally, I created a second partition on my hard drive and kept WinME around "Just in case" (I use BootMagic to choose which one to boot - I don't like dual-boot machines because I want my system disk to be drive "C:", not "K:&quot.

However, I can tell you that with the exception of a minor annoyance with BBMPeg and CCE, I've had no trouble with XP vis-a-vis video stuff. SmartRipper DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc have all worked flawlessly for me.
