I've started my own business, I intend to take on VHS and camcorder film and produce DVD's with it.
I have a P233 and intend to buy a x32 CDRW, I can't stretch to the x52 speed just yet so I'll need to know how fit a DVD movie onto a 70 minute CDR please.
Anyone have a guide they could PM me with please?
I also want to add menu's and chapters but don't know really where to add them in so if possible a guide would be helpful but rather than read here please could mail me directly via PM please.
I intend to charge $50 per hour of footage plus postage, how does that sound?
One drawback is I only have a VHS player and an adapter for VHS-C tapes so for each Hi8, MiniDV and Digital8 tape I convert I'll need to borrow the camcorder from the customer and plug it into my VHS player.
Will this affect the quality of converting MiniDV to my computer via my VHS?
Also, I have done some reading on burning to CDR and hear RecordNowMax is shite and Nero is the way to go, can anyone confirm this?
I'm thinking of a promotion whereupon for every conversion I do I'll throw in a free movie, providing they pop into Blockbuster and bring the original with them at the same time.
Again, as I have CDRW I'll need to know how to copy a rental DVD to a CDR; can I just use windows explorer and drag and drop?
Of course, once I'm up and running I'll devote part of my sales to all members of dvdrhelp.com who offer assistance (I have sixty two orders already).

Well I think I can help a little, nevermind all these rude people. This is what I leard after someone helped me out via PM. 1st your gonna need a program to convert video such as winzip. Basicly it makes the video smaller so that it can fit onto the CD. BTW only use Memoryx brand CDs cause they are the best, they are pressed together instead of glued and good stuff. Next your need a burn program such as Waredz RNM, I've not been able to find that yet but its suppose to put things onto a CD (lik upto 500 min!) Dont get the normal RNM version because its not free.

The best part is you can get upto 500min on a CD! But don't try for more because I here it looks bad on 9 inch or bigger HDTVs then.

OH YEAH! I ALMOST FORGOT1 your gonna need drink coasters, but if your cheap alot of poeple here seem to make their own. not sure what they are foru but you need them real bad.

My brother-in-law has some Swedish stuff he wants converting but says I cant watch it but what the hell, what do I care.
