  1. I can capture audio and video using
    "ArcSoft ShowBiz DVD" and
    "Ulead VideoStudio 6" including
    "ATI Multimedia Center (MMC 8.6)"

BUT NOT NeroVideo Express 2 (no audio, video ok).

What is the fix please. TIA

  2. I'm having the same problem with Nerovision, and I'm also using an ATI card (8500DV) for capture. Any ideas?

    Nero Vision 2 is garbage.

If you have an ATI card, use ATI MMC for best results.

I don't see the problem. MMC has more capture options.
why do you gotta have Nero ? Everyone knows Nero sucks anyway.

    Damn. Smurf beat me

  5. Bad experiences with ATI's software in the past has kept me away, and I honestly forgot about using it for capture. Anyway I'm using it now and so far so good. Thanks

Updates for your Nero software are available that might help. Not capturing the audio in NVE 2 is probably a setting. Go through the configuration settings for the audio and verify that the source is correct. Check the Sound settings in Windows and make sure the source is enabled.

Nero 6 is the source of my best material so far. Sad, isn't it.

I am running all of the latest updates, and if it is a setting it ust be in Nero because audio is captured with every other program I have tried (ATI MMC, WinDVD & Ulead). I had heard a few good things about the authoring ability in Nero and thought it would be nice to do it all in one place rather than use 3 different programs.

That was the mistake. There is not a program yet that can do this as successfully as having a program for each operation.
