Picked up TMPGenc Author a couple of weeks ago. Made my first project with it last night.

Just wanted to say Excellent Program. I Highly recommend it. Encoded the DVD perfectly, just as the MPEG-2 files played in media player. No audio sync problems, video and motion menus worked perfect, no glitches, skips or jumps. Video was clean, clear and sharp as well were my motion menus...very good program.

    Project specs.

7 MPEG-2 video files (not including motion menus)
    39 chapter points
5 motion menus all with video thumbnails.

Burned with Nero 5.5.10 on RitekG04.

    Great program...Good bye DVD Workshop...

  2. I am glad you found your tool. Have you ever try to use this tool to create a new DVD from several VOBs of existing DVDs? If you are successfull, please post.

    First let me just say:

    Pinnacle Studio 8

Captured, clipped, transitioned, output the DV-AVI. Then tried to convert DV-AVI to MPEG-2.....50 minute clip....converted once....I screwed up the audio, had to redo it......tried to convert again...froze....tried again....froze....tried again....froze....SO Studio 8.

TMPGEnc Plus converted it quickly, easily and best of all...FIRST TRY

Video Tree - no I haven't done that yet. This was my first project with TMPGEnc DVD Author...I've only had it about a week...I am going to do what you are talking about...I just need to get some free time...between basketball highlight videos, some training videos, a funeral video and some wedding videos I've been pretty busy...don't get me wrong, I like the money but it is taking away from my screw around time

I too just did a DVD from two different VOB/DVD one was 16:9 and one was 4:3. Didn't had any problems (and I didn't need to do any reencoding)

  6. Northcat_8...A funeral video? I have never seen that before. I have seen snapshots but never a video. Kind of morbid I would think
No, I'm from Iowa. I only work in outer space.

It was basically a slide show with some collauges (sp) with music....kind of memory type thing with some video that plays during the viewing.

I agree that it is kind of wierd but that's what they wanted, they brought the stuff, it didn't take me long...you know...for a funeral time is of the essence so it automatically goes to the front of the priority line. It takes zero time to do...scan the pics, short video clips, transitions, drop in the sad music and encode it. Probably 1 hour from in the door to out the door.

  8. I've had quite a few goths want me to do funeral vids for them. Funerals are more popular than weddings in some crowds. Of course I have a full selection of goth music as well to add in so that draws people in to, and I don't even really do video work for people!!
