Hi,
after fighting with Windvr2 i finally got it to work and scheduled some recordings today morning. I made my own template, 480x576 @ 3000kbps, 224kbps audio...however when i open the files they are reported as DVD resolution at around 9900kbps video bitrate! That explains also the fact that 30min of footage came to around 1GB.
I am trying to reconvert the files to standard SVCD format using Tmpgenc, do i need to take something specially into consideration when doing this?
Does this happen to you too when using Windvr scheduler it doesn't seem to remember the encoding settings you asked it to use? It seems to me that it chose the default Mpeg2 DVD format when it started by itself...
Thanks

hmm i converted to standard SVCD but the video refuses to be played...it's stuck on the first frame but the sound is OK, also if i forward/rewind i see no video but the sound is running. any ideas?
edit: ok i opened the .mpeg in TmpegDVDAuthor and it complained that the GOP is too long for DVD format (must be under 30 for PAL). What do i do now? -
bump?
the 4 mpeg2 files are played ok in Powerdvd, but when i try to join them in Tmpgenc, it says File 2 has no videostream (same for File3 and 4), but File 1 plays ok.
However File1 i cannot use the slider bar to cut/merge in tmpgenc...
I ended up with 2 Live games recorded on 9GB space on my HDD and i'm stuck...and mad...
Please help.
