hello,
I have an ogm and srt (subtitle) file.
What is the easist way to view the movie *with* the subtitles?
The ogm plays by itself in mplayer or vlc, but I cannot get either to recognise the subtitle file. I have made sure they both have the same name, and in the same directory.
Any ideas?

Hi,
After checking some forums it seems that mplayer has great support for subtitles, but the GUI isnt finished for ogm files.
For normal avi files you can do apple+i, and select a subitle file, but this option is not available for ogm.
Although the GUI doesnt support ogm/subtitles, the command line does!
From the terminal I just had to run "mplayer filename.ogm". The subtitles were the same name as the ogm file, and it started playing with the subtitles.
Glad I found this. I was about to try to convert to divx or do some crazy other hacks >>> like playing the files on a PC! (phew... glad i didnt have to do that).
yoyogi.
