  1. Can someone tell me how to convert an MPEG-2 created in Final Cut Pro to an MPEG-1?

I am trying to make a VCD version of a DVD set that I built and have tried numerous programs to convert my existing .m2v files to .mpeg, all of which don't work. One major problem is how do I get the .m2v file AND the corresponding audio .aif file together so that I can convert to MPEG-1 for VCD? I haven't found anything that allows me to do so. I can convert the .m2v files using Quicktime Pro but can't seem to figure out how to add the audio track in so it will be included also.

Any help would be great. I have both a MAC and PC, so if you know any MAC stuff that would be great, if not I will take PC advice as well.

I am a newbie when it comes to conversions like this.

    Thanks!

Well, if you use Gold Wave, you can convert the aif file to wave, and use TMPGEnc to make an MPEG file with the m2v and wave file.

  3. I couldn't seem to get TMPGEnc to open an MPEG2 file even after I downloaded the plugin. Is there a place that I can read more about how to use an MPEG2 in TMPGEnc?
