  1. Hi Folks,
I'm having big problems trying to copy dvdr's to my HD for burning, the problem seems to be from discs I get from others, had 4 types of media and no luck with any, yet they play prefectly in 3 dvd players. When copying or trying to re-do using for e.g dvd decrypter I get the following error-
    Invalid NV-PCK:NV-VOBU-EA

I normally use anydvd/clonedvd or dvd decrypter , DVD2one then prassi.

If you need any more info from me to help solve the problem, please LMK.

    Thanks for looking.

  2. More than likely your DVD-ROM drive can not read DVDR discs (it happens). Since these discs work on standalones you know that there's nothing actually wrong with them. Best bet, get a new DVD-ROM drive.

You can try to test them out on another PC's DVD-ROm to double check, but the standalone kind of took care of that. Sorry. I'd recommend the liteon 166.

Upside, as these are DVDR (ie. DVD5 discs) once you can read them you can just do a 1:1 copy with DVD Decrypter if you must, drag and drop

  4. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
I don't think it's the DVD rom drive as I can read dvdr's that I have copied myself, and also read them from my 105, the problem only seems to be with copied dvdr's that I have recently had from others. First I thought it was the disc but various media has been used from various people which suggests it's not the discs.
Sometimes the disc will copy until the last 60 seconds end it throws up the error box.

    Any other ideas??

  5. more that likely its the way they have been copied,or more so,the programme, like nero, etc.
my mate uses nero6 for dvds, and they dont read in my dvd-ROM,but DO read in my 106.

  6. It could well be the way they have been burnt, I asked a mate who also has a 105 to try and copy them to his HD and he had the same problems as me.
Is there anything else I could try to copy these?

  7. ISOBuster claims it can get data off otherwise unreadable discs so it could be worth a try. Never used it myself so I can't say how effective it is.
