  1. Hi,

I'm looking at getting this camera soon. I was wondering - it has no lenscap, right? How is the lens protected from dust and stuff, or is it an integral, snap-shut lens cover?

If you've got time, can you pass on your experiences with this camera please? My dad has a Powershot G3, and it's a fantastic camera. That's why I want a Canon Powershot over anything else - it's familiar.

    Many thanks,

Well I have a A30 so while I can't tell you about the CCD or image quality the A60's body shell is the same as the A30
it's a integral snap shut lens
there is a review of the A70 here
    http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canona70/
which is apparently the same as the A60 but with a 3.2mp CCD instead of the A60's 2mp

I own the A70 and am very happy with it,

it is open when your taking photos and shuts when you turn it off or go into view mode.

I think the A80 is either out or coming out soon so the A60 and A70 should drop in price.

check these 2 sites for reviews and other info
