    ive got a cher dvd i want to backup
    i get a read error at 45% with dvd decrypter
    is there anyway i can backup the cher dvd

    If you do a search for scratched media you will find some solutions.
    I have had a fair bit of luck using toothpaste (white NOT gel).
    Thin it slightly with water and rub from the center hub OUTWARD, not across the disk. There are also commercial polishing kits that are useful
    for this kind of problem.
