I used to work with premiere 6.0 and now i got some questions about 6.5 :
1.I can't playback the video in the timeline (the edit line is going back to the first frame of the video when i click play on the monitor window)
2.The only way i can playback my video is by pressing Enter(preview) and quality is bad. In addition, i can't find the rendering options as i used to do with premiere 6.

Is there any problem with my installation?

Switch your view to single track editing, not A-B editing. This will give you 2 monitors. Put your cursor anywhere on the Timeline, hit the spacebar and your video will play on the playback monitor.

If you want realtime preview, you need to go to Prodject > prodject settings > render and stills, then select Realtime preview, this will give realtime preview of your effects when you hit Enter.

Premiere 6.5 is much better than 6.0, learn how to use it and update the Mainconcept encoder to v 1.3.
