  1. why is it that any kind of video no matter the bit. or compression avi,mpg,mov does it always look better on my tv. I connect my tv to my 128MB video card via a S-Video cable.

    Example :

    Monitor [ . ] a pixel
    Television [ _ ] ( actually 3 of them stacked vertically a red _ , blue _ , green _ )

    A 'macroblock' that occupies say 10 pixels will hardly be noticed on a television because the horizontal lines (dashes) that make up a television scan line are so much larger.
