    hi
    i bought a hardware named"IEEE 1394",then input it into the mainboard of my pc. after i installed the dirver, i connect the pc with my Dv . but it shows that "there is no video capture driver , or no Dv driver ".could somebody tell me what i should do

    What program are you using to capture?

    Try it first with Windows Movie Maker 2 or WinDV to determine if DirectShow sees the card and camcorder. If the card is "OHCI" compliant, you shouldn't need an additional driver with XP.

    I have tried with WinDv and windows movie maker and i can not see camcorder

    I have tried with WinDv and windows movie maker and i can not see camcorder


    Are you on Windows XP and Service Pack 2 ? If the answer's yes then you may be in trouble as Service Pack 2 has known compatibility issues with many camcorders if you try to transfer via firewire..
