I have Pinnacle card that came with my studio dv software version1.305, using an Abit NF7-S mobo (nforce chipset)
WindowsXP recognizes the card and recognizes when i plug in my firewire to my dv camera. When i open the studio dv software it says that the camera is not plugged in.
When i open windows movie maker and click on capture and get an "unknown error".
I've check my device manager and i see no errors at all.
Any suggestions??

The camera may not be outputting DV. Go thru the camera's menu (on the camera) and check that the DV port is switched on.
