    Hello,
    I recently purchased a region 3 Sony DVX-11A DVD player for the car and would like to play Region 1 and 4 DVD's. Does anyone know of a region hack for this player? It is a fairly new model so I am hopeful.

    Traditionally, all Sony players need chipping - my theory is they have too many ties with the film industry and too much involvement with the DVD specs to introduce "hacks".

    I would suspect the lid is going to have to come off, or you're going to have to back up all your other region titles and remove the region coding while you're at it.
