  1. Hi Guyz

    Been following your thread
My aim was to convert nstc to pal

    Followed http://www.geocities.com/xesdeeni2001/StandardsConversion/
    method

Have my M2V and AC3 file
Somehow managed to burn them but the lip sync was out
    11 (eleven) seconds

Unfortunately 'xesdeeni' doesnt go into the converting/burning of these
    2 files back to dvd

Can anyone advise which proggy will do this for me

regards and thanx in anticipation of a quick response

I'm getting hoarse from saying this..........

Most (98%) PAL system owners do not need to convert NTSC to PAL to be able to watch the video.

    1) Rip the NTSC DVD to hard drive
    2) Compress (if necessary) using DVD2ONE or similar
    3) Burn to DVDR
    4) Watch in set-top

Copy region 1 to region 2

Can we convert an NTSC DVD to PAL DVD-R without re-encoding?

    NTSC/PAL/Region question

Ripping takes about 15mins, conversion about 15mins and burning (x4) about 15 mins - NTSC to PAL DVDR in under an hour. Sweet.
    Regards,

    Rob

It is maybe time to make a sticky topic with all topics/sites/guides about ntsc to pal and vice versa. Anyone want to put together a such topic? Maybe with some short explanation also.

  5. Hey Thanx Guyz

I was aware of this and had my backup to play at home

jusywanted to be able to do a true changeover for expeirnce of using
    the softwares available

To gain knowledge and all that 'pooh'

Find it best to have a project to go at when you wish to learn summit

but i suppose your right why tear your hair out when there is a simple
    solution

of course part of that solution is having a tv that plays both standards
which we have just acquired recently

anyway i came across another problem which comp;etely slippeed
    my mind
i use win98se and after waiting 12 hours encoding it all locked out
yes i know 4gb max file - so i would have to start again and have a poorer
quality level to get under the 4 - just aint worth it

regards and thanx for the advice
