Hi Friends, I need to know if its possible to convert the footage I have on a mindv tape from NSTC to PAL,
I want to make another copy of the footage onto another Min-dv tape but have it in Pal formatt. And still keep it in DV-AVI formatt .Can this be achieved?
    Thanks for all responds.

most likely. re-encode it from 29.97 to 25 fps PAL DVavi and print back to tape on a PAL cam. it's not going to be as smooth as the ntsc version because of the frame rate conversion but it should play.

Hi thanks for the comment aedipuss but I dont have a Pal cam. I thought I might be able to transfer it to my computer and than convert it to Pal on my computer than return it back to a tape.

  4. It might work on a NTSC camcorder, firewire doesn't check for resolution or framerate.
I would do a one minute clip to see if it works.

  6. You could use WMM, it can also transfer DV-AVI.

Hi MOVIEGEEK, I'll give it a try , but Iam using Corel Video Studio ProX2 shouldnt that do the trick as well?
I also change the video file from 29.97 to 25 and the frame size 720X480 to 720X576
