  1. Hi Folks...I have been trying to shop on the net for this title on DVD (PAL) and i waz told by a "big uk high street chain" that it aint been released on PAL yet which really saddened me coz i am desperately after buying it, so, im wondering if anyone can tell me which bigwigs i might contact in an attempt to find out if theres any chance of it being released in PAL format some time soon.

I waz also told that i could try and get it on "region 0", which im told is "asian" and will play on my PAL DVD/TV ( could do with some clarification on this...if ne 1 knows )

And to contradict the whole situation i just found this title on "E-Bay"...in "PAL" format...so now im completely lost. any help on this would b greatly appreciated....thx.

  2. Well there wasn't a PAL release of this on DVD when I was looking for it so I picked up a Region 1 NTSC DVD when I was in New York 2 years ago. Still not seeen a PAL release of this on DVD but they're on VHS. Isn't your player Multi Region ?

One of the best movies ever. Which release are you looking for? First run or the special edition??

  4. If your DVD players is, or can be made, region free, it will play. The only remaining question is if your TV can handle NTSC or Pal-60. If it is less than 10-15 years old, chances of it doing so are very good.

  5. Thx for the quick replies ..my TV (Daewoo T-140) is only about 8-10yrs old (but it does say"PAL" on the back, which dont sound to promising, as far as watching an NTSC disc is concerned) & as far as my DVD player goes, the mannual says it is set to "PAL" but, if theres any way that i can make it "region free" ...im all ears ...thx again

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is available in PAL from Germany. The sound is both as in German and English. You must have region 2 on your DVD player.

The website is Amazon.com and you may not be able to read German. Check out: http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005Q3DX/302-5161985-3909630

I can order it from Germany and does anyone know how to read German?

Desperate Jip: You have to get help to arrange an order from Germany?

  10. Hi Hunter, soz m8, i been busy ...thx for that link . I waz checking it out and a question occurred to me ...Why dont manufacturers everywhere, just set all there players to region free?
Also is there a limit to how many times i can set my players region setting? as i have heard that this is so with PC DVD Rom's.
    Thx Hunter

P.S. If anyone has a "Cyberhome CH DVD 400" (or similar) and has successfully used any of the hacks to make this player "Region Free" I would like to hear from you.

You should be OK just setting your player to Region 0 - its whats mine has been on for ages. They aren't set to region 0 because in Britain we're only supposed to watch region 2 discs. Like in the states they are only allowed to watch region 1 discs. It limits who can watch what and when.
