I'll try to keep this short(almost impossible for me! ).

I created a DVD using a Canon DV camcorder to WinTV GO! capture card(firewire created some problems with my system).

Used VirtualDUB, YUY2 and PIC video compressor to creat an AVI file.

Used DVDIT! SE to author DVD.

Used a Sony DVD-RAM/R burner and Nashua DVD-R disc to burn DVD.

DVD is 22 min. long and of very high quality.

My DVD's are for demo purposes and ment to played back on set top DVD players so very high quality is not the most emportant issue, content is formost.

I needed to make a copy so I tried Nero 5.5

Using my Pioneer 103S disc player and direct copy in Nero I created a copy using the above medium and burner.

My copy had clear and in sync audio and near perfect video except that the picture was split down the middle and the left side was on the right and the right side was on the left side of the screen when played back on 2 different set top units!!!!

I posted same problem on another forum and the suggestion was to try and use DVD Encrypter to rip my DVD to my HDD and reburn from there, which I did.

However, when I tried to play it back from the HDD using WinDVD, video was perfect but no audio!

I checked the file created by DVD Encrypter against the files on the original DVD, 9 files in each, checked ok.

However, when I go to WinDVD, files, I can see only 5 of the original 9 copied.

What am I doing wrong?

I am not sure how to play back these files from the HDD, maybe I am doing something wrong at this step?

Ideas please as I really need to get past this issue!
