Hi all,

I have a film in 2 .avi files with 2 accompanying .idx files containing subtitles. Previously I could open the .avis using Media Player and VobSub would automatically startup in the system tray and the subs would be put onto the film.

I used VirtualDub to make an SVCD with permanent subs (via Adding VobSub filter) of the film and it worked OK.

This was a few days ago. Now when I try to open the same avi files in Media Player, VobSub doesn't show up in the tray. If I open an avi in VirtualDub and choose Video > Filters > Add > VobSub 2.23 > OK > Open
- I can locate the idx files but when I choose them the VobSub box doesn't seem to open them - nothing changes in the box. Also if I look at the Filters list, it shows VobSub 2.23 [Not Detected]

Seems odd that it was working one day, then not the next. I did make sure I installed VobSub with the VirtualDub plugin. VobSub just doesn't seem to want to open any idx files. The idx files look fine when viewed in notepad.

Any suggestions on how to get the filter working again?

(Using VirtualDub 1.5.4 (16297) and VobSub 2.23)
