Hi,
I have this setup ( Optorite D2203 burner,DVDDecrypter,B's GOLD5 Recorder,Panasonic DVR295U player,BMI DVR-R from TigerDirect ) and it has been working fine until I want to backup some DVDs (SHREK,FINDING NEMO..... ) that are larger than 4.7GB.
I used DVD XCOPY EXPRESS in place of DVDDecrypter and B's GOLD5 Recorder, the resulting DVD-R playbacks fine on the burner stuck at the DVD BACKUP warning screen on the Panasonic standalone player.
Any ideas why this is happening, it has been a couple of frustating days for me.
Thanks in advance for any insights,
Randy

I meant to say the DVD-Rs that were created by DVD XCOPY EXPRESS playback fine using the burner but stuck at the DVD BACKUP WARNING screen when playing in the Panasonic standalone player. I even waited for 5 minutes and that screen is still there.
I even used B's GOLD5 Recorder to burn the video_ts directory created by DVD XCOPY EXPRESS and the DVD-R created still stuck at the WARNING screen.
Thanks, -
I still don't know what was the problem with DVD XCOPY EXPRESS but I'm guessing that my standalone player does not like DVDs without menus and extras........ ( i.e. not exactly like the originals ).
I did find a way around my problem though........ and it is called DVD Shrink. I shrinked all the menus, extras ....... down to still pictures and kept the main movies as high a quality as possible then burn the DVD-Rs and my standalone DVD player is happy again.
