Most the of the movies I've encountered are in 2 800meg<approx> .bin files, and i write them to 2 disk with my cd-r.
I would like to get a dvd-r<+r?> and have movies on ONE disk. But I have a few questions. Do they need to be converted some how before putting them on a dvd? Does the size remain the same, or can i stick ruffly 2 and a half vcd/svcd movies on one dvd.
Also, I wont ask what is best but which format is more widely accepted on standalones <between dvd-r and dvd+r>.
I've also heard of some blank dvd's not being able to be burned in certain writers. and thoughts on most compadible blanks and writers?
Any help is gladly appreciated.
Thanks.

SVCD's are already MPEG2. The resolution (480x480) isn't a 'DVD' standard, but most players can't tell the difference.
Audio is another story. You will have trouble trying to make a DVD with MP2 Audio. Most players will play it, but the authoring apps don't like it.
SVCD2DVD is a pretty good program for automating it all.
You can also do it the manual way, demuxing to M2V and MP2, then converting the audio.
Most SVCD's are 2 or 3 CDR's. You can generally get 2 SVCD movies per DVDR.To Be, Or, Not To Be, That, Is The Gazorgan Plan -
hmm i never thought about audio being a problem, thank for telling me.
These movies arent for MY personal collection, so could i just open up nero and drop in a few of the movie, and burn them on dvd and then play them on my dvd player<standalone> with no problem? authoring isnt important to me.
Also, which is more common the +r or the -r as far as players are concerned.
