  1. Has anybody seen or heard of a lead that is 3RCA to S-Video? If so, is there any probs? I only have 3RCA output on my VCR and S-video input on my capture card...

2 of your RCA outputs (red and white) are for audio and should be input into your sound card. You'll probably need an RCA to 1/8 stereo y-connector for that.

S-video is video only. You need an adapter for composite out to s-video in, like this. Or something siimilar.

  3. That's a neat little item there. I may have to get one for my extra stuff box just in case I ever need one

As Zippy said, 2 Rca are audio, only one RCA is video. S-video is video only. So your sound goes to your system, and RCA (composite) video is what your wanting to convert to S-video.

If you are going to also need a way to remove macrovision, like if your backing up your comercail tapes to DVD, then a facet video clarifier might work well for you! It's $100 with shipping, but works well. Removes macrovisions and gives a nice clear picture.
It has both S-video and Composite inputs and outputs. You can go into it with your RCA cable and come out on the S-video cable.
Works rather well for me. I like mine, though $100 is alot of money!
