Are Remotes Still Being Made?

I am looking for a infrared remote to add to my PC for mouse, DVD, CD controls etc. Are they still being manufactured? If so, which one is the best?

It works with an existing remote, or you can buy one from them. I don't know if it's the best, but it's still being made

I am quite tempted to buy one for my just-used-for-MP3-playback PC but don't know if it will do all that it promises.

Alternatively you can buy a wireless optical mouse or a wireless keyboard with built-in mouse control. They are getting cheaper day by day.
