    Every one of my drives has come with WinDVD or PowerDVD. They give them out like candy at Halloween. I've thrown most of mine in the trash. Most commercials discs have the Sony player or other players on the DVD, most capture cards comes with DVD software, and all drives (except OEM) come with software.

    I find it hard to believe that you wouldn't have something already. Even Windows Media Player has free mods that let you play VOB (look in the tools section) and I think the new RealOne can play DVD too.
