Okay a while back i'd sold my large 25" Tv and little monitor and bought a Nice 18" Flat panel monitor. The idea was to do everything through that:Computer,Tv and Playstation 2 gaming.Right now i'm useing an AverTv Tv Tuner card and while there is a slight quality drop,Tv still looks pretty nice on my monitor.

So the Tv is good, what about the gaming? Thats when things get really frustrating. When hooked to the tv card the PS2 picture looks like crap and don't even use up the whole screen.

Since then i've bought two different external devices that promise Tv and games on a monitor.Again like the Tv card, the Tv part looked nice on both devices but Playstation 2 picture still looks awful and pretty much the same as all 3.

My question is:Those of you that do everything on your monitor includeing gaming,What do you use?! I'm begining to think that it is impossible to play console gaming on a Pc monitor. As if the Playstation 2's video signals are just far too different to be displayed properly on a Monitor.

Not sure if that thing can be trusted.Because one of the external devices i bought, was from the exacte same website: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/tisinc99/unvgacoboxwi.html

It too promised Gaming on monitor viewing but the picture was still awful.I might end up giving that other item a try though.

  4. i've got my ps2 hooked through my AIW card, the picture isnt anything to ejaculate about.. it looks better on the tv.. but thats because everything looks better on tv (lower res).. i doubt you will find a piece of hardware for your computer that will produce as good of a picture as your TV will.

What about those HDTVs out there which have a VGA input for Pc? Would that work to do everything on?
