ive just captured a section of my vhs video as an AVI file , can i burn this straight to a DVD-r to play on my normal DVD player or do i have to do somthing else to it beforehand????

try this program at www.avi-vcd.com
Easily converts avi to mpeg, mpeg 2, vcd, and dvd -
Read some guides to the left, specifically the convert and authoring ones.
