When playing all video formats (.avi, .mpg, .ogm with any codec [I think]) on my computer (see specs below) I get occasional "speed-ups" i.e. every ten seconds or so (varies), the video speeds up for less than a half second. The audio gets clipped for the correct amount of time during this, so there is not a problem with sync. It's like fast-forwarding for 2-3 seconds. This problem applies to every media player.
Computer:
Win2000 Pro
AMD 1.8 Ghz
1024 Mb RAM
ASUS GeForce 3 (with Detonators 44.03)
Installed:
K-Lite Code Pack 2.04 Full
Media Player Classic 6.45.8
Windows Media Player 9
Thanks in advance!

Codec pack was a bad thing to do. There's your problem.

Yeah, uninstalled everything and installed individual codecs that I needed. This did wonders and now everything is fine. Thanks for the help!
