    Im using my stock HP internal burner, and riteks 4x dvd+r, and NERO and TMPGENC, cant get over 2.4x burn speed. Any body know anything about firmware, and if I might to to reflash?

    what model and or speed is your HP rated at, an HP 200i is a 2.4x burner a 300i is a 4x burner.

    I am using the 300i(300n)......several phone calls with HP have yielded no luck. They say the fimware is not available to burn dvd's at 4x. I wonder why they advertise and sell it as a 4x speed burn then?

    Still have no luck. Is anyone using this 300n (aka 300i) burner and getting a 4x speed on dvd+r's?
