I use TMPGEnc to convert avi to svcd. avi file is captured from Panasonic dv camcorder.
I want to get best possible quality of SVCD (disc space and time of encoding are not important).
I attempted to set TMPGEnc but during playback obtained mpeg fast frames are covered by small squares or smeared. Standart SVCD PAL template was the worst. how to set better?

another problem: I have avi file with ratio "4:3 625 lines pal" and use aspect ratio of mpeg "4:3 display" but after convertion ratio of mpeg is 16:9. why?
