  1. What software can burn long file names to DVD? Not just CD-R but to DVD-+R? Im wanting to make backups of all my MP3's but some have very long file names.
    Any ideas? Thanks!

Bad news, burnable media does support long file names, but not as long as windows does. If you want to save you file names I suggest compressing them with winzip using a low compression (Don't turn compression off completely or it will take longer) and them burn the zips or rars or whatever you decide to make.

UDF does pretty good. Forget ISO or Joliet. Plus UDF can be read on both Mac and PC as long names!

Shorten you naming conventions. You don't need Band.Album.Song.Bitrate
Use folders for Band and Album, then jsut use song title for anme and drop bitrate altogether.

  6. I cant change the format for the folder/file names. They need to be the way they are.

  7. Here's a fix for ya... Get a sharpie and right the really really long file name on the DVD itself. You could start in the middle go clockwise towards the outside of the disc.
