Burnt DVD doesnt Play. How come???

I can burn the DVD movies onto my computer by using dvd shrink 3.0 and then i use copt to dvd to burn it and it will burn everytime however it wont play on any of my dvd players in my house (3 different brand names) the weird thing is that when i put the dvd in my burner it will play on my computer but when i put it in the dvd rom it wont play? Is there anything i could be doing wrong I reallly want to knwo .

first of all..

have your players and dvd-rom ever read a DVD-R disc and played it correctly before?

if yes - you have a problem with either your method of burning, or a type of DVD-R media your drives all don't like.

if no - your drives probably can't play any DVD-R discs at all.
