  1. I'm trying to backup lotr extended version. Well when I run DVD2one 1.3, on the very last vob it cuts off the last 2-3 seconds of the movie and adds a high pitch squelch sound. I've tried it on another movie and its the same. (athough its always been credits and I dont watch them.)

    Is this normal?

I would rather on the first disc, have it keep the 3 seconds and fade out the sound like in the original rip.

  2. Hello simonko.

Does this problem occur when playing the backup from a burned DVD-R or from your hard-drive?
If from DVD-R, it could be due to bad media.
If from your hard-drive it could be due to the way you have set-up DVD2One.

Not having much experience with it, I can only suggest you try DVD Shrink v3.0 beta 5 (see link in my signature) and see if you encounter the same problem.

I backed up both LOTR movies to DVD+R using DVD Decrypter set to IFO (movie only) mode, then DVD2One. Make sure your DVD2One is set to 4472 mb or less. I lost no video at all using this method, had no sound or video glitches, and the results were excellent.

  4. ddlooping,

I'm testing it off my hd with powerdvd. I did only burn the last vob to dvd-rw and yes that 2-3 seconds is cut off along with that high pitch squelch sound still being there.

    Bodene,

(movie only) (my original rip runs fine with no squelch noise) I'm keeping it two discs cause the quality looks like crap compressed down to one disc. Tried with IFOedit only first and it cuts 1 second and puts that squelch there. I run it through DVD2one only and its 2-3 seconds cut along with that odd squelch. My setting is at 4472MB but that shouldnt make a difference.

You should check your disc one at the last few seconds of that last vob, and compair with original rip. I never noticed this cause its always been credits at the end and I dont watch them. But with lotr the movie just cuts, then you insert disc 2.

I only have dvd2one 1.3 now so I don't have a previous version of DVD2one to test with.

  5. It is normal. Maybe its a known bug issue. I did d/l verion 1.02 and it only took 14mins to do the first disc. Using 1.3 it took 17mins, whats up with that?

Anyways Both versions cut the last 2 seconds off the vob and adds a squelch noise. I checked some of my earlier burns and yes its the same on all of them (10 dvds, I checked, starting with ones made with dvd2one 1.0 till 1.3) all exhibit the same problem ive been having.

    Thanks for the help anyways.

I've never gone all the way to the end of the credits on any movie.....cept Chubb Chubbs lol. I'll check out some of my feature-length movie backups asap to see if I get the same thing.
