X-MEN Ripping Problem

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if any body has sucsessfully ripped the .vob files from X-Men ? I have tried DVD Decrypter and it gets to around 49% and retries but never goes any further. I then tried Smartripper and it told me that some files are still locked start your player and try again so I did and hit the retry and still locked I live in Australia and have a region free Liteon dvd rom upgraded firmware to GHR8 and am trying to copy a region 4 DVD any ideas would be appreciated.

I've backed up my xmen dvd without any problems. Is there anything wrong with the surface of the disc?

I didnt use either of those two to do it. I actually used dvdshrink to make the backup. Went perfectly.

Im actually trying to make a vcd as I dont have a dvd burner as yet Ive also tried easyvcd but it gets stuck aswell.

Sounds like it must be your disc or drive, try backing up another dvd to confirm this.

Had no problem with ripping it ala DVDDecrypter, but I did notice that in my DivX encode in a few places it shows noticable interlace field seperation (although most of the movie is progressive) notably the sceen when the Senator walks out of the water onto the beach after being transformed into a mutant.
