Wanna buy a new player browsed everywhere but where 2 look 4

the following option?

Playback of VCDs with chapters? (created with VCD easy) or does PBC have to be on so all players can do this?

So far the believe it or not polaroid dvp 1000 sounds very attractive. Many people have given it good comments. I preffer just to go to best buy and get it. However one comments on the bottom denies everything that the rest of the people said.

Other options I would need >

Front controls (ffwd, rewind this player has it) (ok this is less important)
VCD playback but non-standard vcds (audio 128kbps so you an fit one movie on one CD - note read my comment on Toshiba SD 2900).
Lastly and most important :

I hook up my DVD through Hauppage WinTV card using S-Video. My philips DVD 951 that is currently dying (I am trying to get the head cleaned but DVDs with gold bottom just won't play - VCDs DVD+R, SVCDs that I create play OK) works in this way. However I know that some DVD players have macrovision enabled. I really need this capability (not because of capture or anything illegal - just for convenience).

Well, I'll be waiting for your replies. In the meantime I may go buy this DVD player.

If anyone is interested ;

None of the players at best buy support VCD chapters, cuz I tested them all while at the store with my VCD.

The ONLY one that supports this feature is a DVD recorder Philips DVDR 75. However I do not have 500 bucks to pay for this thing.

Sheeessh. Now I gotta go take back the one that I bought.
