    Just got an MPG DVD rip. Can I burn this directly onto a DVD-R or play it...or do I need to convert it?

    What can I use to burn it?

    If it is too big to fit on a 4.7GB DVD, you will have to convert it fit on a DVD±R. If it can fit, Try Nero to burn it.

    Do you want to play it on your DVD player?

    Check it with avicodec. Is it DVD compliant for audio and video?

    If you're not sure then post the audio and video information.

    If both answers are yes then just "author' and burn. Author guides in the section over there <-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-.
