  1. I have a I/O Magic Internal DVD-/+R Drive, using CompUSA brand DVD-R disks. I play my burned DVDs on two Panasonic standalone DVD players, one model is 4 years old, and the other is less than a month old. When playing on the older player, some movies, maybe 1 out of 10, will skip badly the entire movie, while play fine on the new model. Also, when playing movies on the newer model, 1 out of every 20 burned videos will skip for less than a second, but when the movie is rewound and the same sceen is played again, it doesn't skip. Is there a problem with my burner, DVD players, the disks I'm using, or it just normal for some disks to have minor annoying problems?

Quit using crappy COMPUSA DVD-R. That's the problem. They are likely CMC or PRINCO.

Look into RITEK or MAXELL. It costs more, but you do get what you pay for.

  3. So, it is the disks? Not the burner or the players? If it is, I can live with that.
