  1. Hi, I have encoded an avi file to dvd using TMPGenc Plus. Now I am ready to author it so that I can burn to a dvd disk, so I looked at the help page/howto on authoring with TMPGenc Author, and it says that the file must be a mpg file. Well mine is not; after TMPGenc finished, I have a wav file and a m2v file, so how do I follow the howto now?

Sorry if it is a stupid question, but I want to get it right first time.

    Thanks

  2. you can mux them using tmpgenc's tools. Click on file and then tools. Do the simple mux and merge them together.

  3. Thanks, so do I have to do this for every dvd encoded file(s) TMPGenc does?

    Thanks

  4. Oh dear, just got an error message from TMPGenc, saying Multiplexing linear PCM Stream to system strean is not supprted. I used VDub to extract the audio as a wav, PCM, no compression, wav file.

    What else?
    Thanks

  5. If you are using TMPGENC to create the MPG then you should be able to set this up to create the SINGLE MPG file rather than 2 elementary streams.

You need to make sure you have the latest version of TMPGENC and set you output for SYSTEM (Audio and Video). This will create a Single file.

  6. I just tried to use TMPGenc Author to author the m2v and wav files as they were, but I got an error message about the wav file which I extracted.Grrrr! So I have started again to convert the avi file with TMPGenc Plus using system video and audio.

No wonder I am confused; one site tells you to extract the audio to a wav file, and another site tells you to convert as one file for TMPGenc Author.

    Oh well, ce la vie!

    Thanks
