  2. Hard to say how many you can get from a cartridge as its going to vary on the covers. I will say i have printed over a 100 dvd's and maybe 50 ish cd's plus covers and i'm still on my 2nd set of cartridges. More than happy with my epson 900.
Cant comment on the other option.

I have had my Epson 900 for about 2 months and have done 60 dvd's at Best Photo Setting and 100 wallet sized photos(Best Photo Setting)and I have about 25% left in the cartridges.

Found best setting is to use photo paper in the printing options when you print the disks using the epson software.

  8. You may want to consider the Epson 960 too. It's only $100 more, yet it has the following advantages:

    - Seperate ink cartridges. Run out light cyan and that's the only one you have to replace.

    - Un-chipped ink cartridges. No hassle using 3rd party ink cartridges.

(Both of the above will save money in the long run)

    - Twice the non-interpolated print resolution. If you print photo's much, the quality should be much higher.

I just went through this and decided that the 960, for $295 shipped from Amazon.com, was the way to go.

  10. I bought the Epson 900 and buy my color ink from here for only $8 each. B&W goes for a mere $4.
