The box says "Made In Japan" but the media jewel case says "Made In Taiwan" so is that false advertising? They are Prodisc 2X though and seem to burn fine in my Panasonic E80HS. I'll try them in my Pioneer A05 next and report the results...

I was actually wondering if this would start becoming the norm too....phony manufacturing locations....that doesn't surprise me..after seeing different media id disks in the same Verbatim batch...it's clear that anything is possible. I guess the same probably holds true for MCC and CMC..one or the other produce media for each other with their stampers and that's why that occurred. Hell...that may be why the CMC manufactured Philips disks are as High Quality as they can get....I wouldn't be surprised if MCC is manufacturing those specific disks themselves with CMC's stamper. Either that or Philips demands extremely high quality. Either way...CMC hasn't been known to produce super high quality disks such as those Philips..so something is definitely going on.
If your disks burn..don't sweat it....but that is interesting. -

Not to mention...GEEEE..why would anyone want to have boxes which clearly specify a brand of disk on the inside...be manufactured in JAPAN...my goodness...production costs are much lower in Taiwain. That's why almost every box you get will be manufactured in the same origin as the disks.

Hmmm...that WOULD fit EXCEPT that my Maxell branded disks say they are made in Japan on the outer box as well as the Jewel Case insert...and they are Made In Japan...
