I thought that Kevin Smith sold out once he made J&SBSB. That movie sucked so hard. Mallrats forever!!

  5. is it cool to like mallrats or something? it was a half assed entertaining movie, but it wasnt a triumph that will be looked on in the future as a landmark in movie making or anything.

but as far as him being a sellout, yeah j&sbsb did kinda suck, clerks & dogma were my favorites.. chasing amy = chick/fag flick, mallrats = teh ghey, j&sbsb = sucky.. but doing a commercial for a standalone dvd-ram recorder? you cant get much lower..

I used to work right next to the mall that Mallrats was filmed in. It's been renovated since (the reason ViewAskew filmed there is because it was just starting to be worked on) and looks really nice but there's almost nothing to connect it to the movie. I was hoping they'd at least keep the elevator where Silent Bob jumped off in the Batman outfit, but no

Who f'in cares what the hell he does. Did you see the DVD put out with him talking to a bunch of different colleges? He pretty much says in there that he'll do almost anything for money.

  8. Mallrats was an awesome movie because it pretty much showed what me and my mate used to do on the weekends (pre-car licences), hang out at the mall, dodge security guards and generally bludge around.

We had our tradition though of buying a box of iceblocks (like a 10 or 20 box) then trying to eat them between us before they melted.
