I had the same problem. I'll send you my log Chrissyboy but i have to redo the proces to get the logs..

Yes, I am creating menus. Two VTS sections, the first with three parts and the second with two. A simple menu create, one button for each vts section. No errors in the log file and the tests I had done on the demo version worked just fine.
This is the first run I have done with the full version.
I can run the conversion again and leave the files around if that would help -
can you email me your logs?

OK sorted. I noticed that after running the conversion, I only had about 25Kb of disk space left. It appears that perhaps when low on space, svc2dvd doesn't report when it cannot create the mentioned files (I didn't see any error messages). So I checked the box to delete files ripped, re-ran and all was well.
I know I should have had more spare space, but that's life.
