Sort of a capture request ......

I'm looking into the possability of transferring my VHS stuff onto DVD-R, obviously I can do it using a capture card and the computer, but after searching the 'net, can't come up with much in what I'm after, it will be there, just need some help ?

Basically, I'm after a standalone DVD recorder with a built-in VHS player, so I can shove in a VHS tape, and have it transferred onto a DVD-R for me, simply by pressing play on the VHS side and record on the DVD recorder side, and voila one film transferred

I know it must exist out there .............

  5. While there are a few VHS/DVD players, i doubt any company is gonna produce a combined DVD recorder/VHS recorder coz it doesnt really make sense.....One brand new technology together with an old (obsolete one).

The answer is to spend ya pennies on a DVD recorder n then buy a VHS player (you can get these very cheap now),
